So we belive that a reality check is in order here. Social media markeitng in Miami, Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale still hasn't cured cancer or made anyone rich overnight. Maybe the only ones getting rich on social media marketing are the social media marketing companies. Should you care about social media at all?

Here is what we are involved in social media marketing. We own a full service advertising agency and we offer all types of advertising. We see social media marketing for our Miami, Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale clients as just one option in advertising their business. Just as you wouldn't expect to have all of your advertising needs solved by purchasing one billboard sign; social media marketing alone is not going to solve all of your advertising needs either. The one thing that makes social media marketing very unique is that even if you decide to do nothing at all social media marketing is something you should be aware of because it already exists with YOUR business name. Many people are suprised for example to find a Google Places or Facebook Places page that already exists yet the business owner didn't put it there. Now here's the fun part of social media marketing; someone can report an error on your info and for example change the phone number to be THEIR number. This is only possible when you don't claim your listings or hire an agency like ours to claim the listings. An old South Florida client of ours who own's an automitive repair business that services all of Miami, Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale called one day to report a problem on a Google Places map. Although we made his website some time in the 1990's he never hired us to handle his social media marketing. He also never claimed his Google Places page and a competitor of his went there and reported an error. The competitor listed their own phone number as the correct number. When nobody claims the page Google assumes the public is just trying to make the info more accurate. So this may be the biggest difference between all other types of advertising and social media marketing. If you don't want to advertise on TV no ads will run with your phone number incorrect. In social media marketing the first step is to claim all your listings; even if you didn't post any listings they most likely already exist.
